Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdul-Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani highlighted today efforts by the GCC countries to preserve the environment. He said the GCC adopted the policies and general principles for the protection of the environment at the sixth session of its Supreme Council in Muscat in 1985. The GCC Secretary General made the remarks in a statement marking the celebration of the 5th GCC week of environment, which focuses on impact of good quality of air on the safety of the environment.
