The death toll has increased to 19 after an explosion Friday at a market in Pakistan's tribal region, a senior government official said. The blast wounded 42 people, said Shahab Ali Shah, the top government official of Kurrum Agency, one of the seven districts of Pakistan's tribal region bordering Afghanistan. Authorities were still trying to determine what caused the explosion, he was quoted as saying by CNN. The incident took place in a market of Parachinar, a town in Kurrum Agency, where people are gathered after their Friday prayer, Shah said.
