The death toll in Saturday s suicide bombing in Pakistan s North West Frontier Province (NWFP) has gone up to forty-six, police said. A suicide bomber, riding a motorcar, rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into an election office of an election candidate in Parachinar. More than 109 persons were injured. Sixty percent of the wounded persons are in critical conditions, Casualty Medical Officer at Agency Headquarters Hospital Parachinar Dr. Farhad Ali said. The bomber had hit the election office of Riaz Hussain Shah where a large number of people had gathered. The law-enforcing agencies rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area. The blast was so powerful that it disrupted the power supply and Parachinar city plunged into darkness.
