Mohammed bin Dhaen Al Hamili, the UAE Minister of Energy today chaired the meeting of the organizing committee for the World Energy Forum 2012, which will be held from October 22-24 in Dubai. Addressing the meeting held at the headquarters of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Al Hamili, who is also the Chairman of the Organizing Committee stressed the importance of consolidating all efforts for the success of this important event which is expected to be attended by fifteen heads of state, forty Energy Ministers and nearly two hundred of the heads and officials of international companies operating in the field of energy. The forum is to be held for the first time outside the headquarters of the United Nations in New York, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM". For his part, Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer, Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Energy Council, vice-chairman of the committee said that the initiative launched by the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for "Green Economy for Sustainable Development" will have the support and interest of the forum which will discuss a road map for sustainable energy eventually benefiting all nations and people.
