A crash between a truck and a van carrying migrant farm workers on a rural crossroads in southwestern Ontario province killed 11 people, Canadian media reported Tuesday, in one of the most deadly vehicle accidents in the country's history. Both drivers and nine passengers in the van were killed instantly on Monday when the van was hit by the truck, a spokeswoman for the county emergency medical service said. The accident occurred in rural Hampstead, Ontario, about 140 kilometers west of Toronto. "The people in the van are migrant workers," Perth County Police Inspector Steve Porter told Postmedia News.
