Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) and President of the Supreme Committee of the Council of King Saud University Endowments, opened here today a symposium on the "Humanitarian and Social Aspects in the History of King Abdulaziz". The three-day symposium is organized by King Saud University in cooperation with the Darah. Upon his arrival at the venue, Prince Salman toured the exhibition held on the sidelines of the symposium. The exhibition contained historical documents dating back to the reign of late King Abdulaziz, showing the King's characteristics in dealing with the citizens. The Minister of Defense also inaugurated the "Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Chair for Historical and Civilization Studies of the Arabian Peninsula". A speech ceremony was held on this occasion.
