Unemployed youths in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have been paid SR1.1 billion for the Hijri month of Safar (Dec. 26, 2011 to Jan. 23, 2012) as part of the government's Hafiz unemployment assistance program. “The sum for each person has been deposited in the bank accounts of more than 563,000 Saudi youths for the second month in a row,” Director General of the program Khaled Al-Ajami said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency on Sunday. Al-Ajami said more than 41,000 names were added to the list of Hafiz beneficiaries since Dec. 31.
