A producer at a Somali radio station said gunmen shot dead the station's director in the capital, Mogadishu, according to AP. Mu'awiye Ahmed Mudey, a producer at Shabelle radio, said unidentified gunmen killed Hassan Osman Abdi on Saturday. He was on his way home. The 29-year-old father of three had worked at the station for three years. Attacks on journalists are common in war-ravaged Somalia. Two journalists were killed last year.
