Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom held a press conference at the Saudi Embassy in London on Tuesday. The conference was attended by General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar and a large number of British, Western and Arab journalists and media representatives. Addressing the conference, Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz talked about big expansion projects in Makkah and the holy sites on the occasion of holding "The Exhibition of Hajj: A Journey to the Heart of Islam" in cooperation between the Saudi Library and the British Museum. He pointed out that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has mobilized all its potentials to serve pilgrims and Umrah performers, noting that the number of pilgrims last year amounted to 3 million, while the number of Umrah performers each year doubles this number. The Prince said that the importance of Hajj makes it as the most significant issue to deal with by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and this is clear in the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, that all sectors should provide all means to care for security and comfort of pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah and the Holy sites. --MORE
