The Association of British Hujjaj (ABH) held its annual meeting today in the British House of Lords, focusing on medical guidance and advice of specialists to pilgrims willing to perform Hajj (Pilgrimage) rituals this year. It also reviewed constructive efforts by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve the pilgrims whether they are pilgrims or Umrah performers. The meeting affirmed that the Saudi Government led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz has been making every effort to facilitate smooth performance of all rituals of Hajj and Umrah. Lord Nazir Ahmed, head of the ABH lauded Saudi Arabia's constant keenness each year to make the best of its varied services, health and others for the benefit of the Hajj and Umrah performers. He also singled out the Saudi government's great attention to facilities in the Holy Mosque of Makkah's squares and other holy sites. He praised the constructive role played by the Saudi Embassy in London in order to facilitate the task of those wishing to perform Hajj or Umrah and said "We highly appreciate the sincere efforts and cooperation and keenness of Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf to forge closer cooperation with the British Muslim community and facilitate travel to the Kingdom to perform Hajj, or Umrah, describing the relationship between Britain and Saudi Arabia as "excellent". -- More
