King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed here on Tuesday with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden peace efforts and latest developments in the Middle East as well as bilateral ties and means to bolster them. The meeting touched on the meetings between Palestinians and Israelis taking place in Amman. The meetings serve as a prelude to direct talks that aim at ending the conflict according to the two-state solution on the 1967 borders and establishing the independent Palestinian state on national soil with East Jerusalem as its capital. King Abdullah II also met with U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and discussed bilateral ties and means to cement them in military domains. The meeting also touched on the latest political developments in the region.
