Some 2,059 families in five villages of Kresek sub-district, Tangerang regency, Banten province, are still in isolation following three days of floods. In Patrasana there are 672 families, in Renged 95, in Pasir Ampo 394, in Koper 878, and in Talog 25. The residents had been evacuated to mosques and other houses of prayer, as well as school buildings. The residents have also built emergency public kitchens with material provided by the government and volunteers, ANTARA reported. "The worst of the five villages was Pasir Ampo which is almost entirely inundated," head of the Tengerang Tagana Ending said in Tangerang Monday. Up to tonight, the height of the flood waters in Kresek has not receded. And public roads had also been inundated. Consequently, the villagers are merely waiting for volunteers to come to them with food and other important needs. In Gunur Kaler sub-district, there are five inundated villages, namely Gunung Kaler and Mandaya in Gunung Kaler, Onyam, Bendung in Kedung, and Cakung Andawati in Kanda. In Gunung Kaler, 20 houses had been inundated, Mandaya 32 houses. In Onyam 44 houses had been flooded, 52 houses in Bendung, and 52 houses in Cakung Andawati. In Kresek five villages had been inundated due to the damage of the dike of Cidurian river. The five villages are Pasir Ampo, Koper, Patrasana, Renged and Talok, but Pasir Ampo was the worst hit. In Jayanti there are 924 houses of 3,696 people had been inundated to a height of half a meter. Many areas are inundated including Perum Taman Cikande, Cikande, Babakan, Koang, Nambo and Popojok, Pasirgintung, Garahieum and Jayanti. The floods were caused by the overflowing of Cidurian river.
