A flood triggered by five hours of rains hit a number of areas in Mamuju district, West Sulawesi, on Saturday. The rains which ended at 08.00 p.m. caused flood at the villages of Simboro, Karema and Binanga, an ANTARA news contributor observed. In Simboro, the water level reached 30 cm on Saturday night, inundating the road leading to the West Sulawesi provincial administration building. Some motorists avoided traveling on the flooded road. The flood also inundated several areas in Simboro, including Wahidin Sudirohusodo Street, a market on Almalik Pababri Street and BTN Ampli housing complex. The flood also inundated a number of houses in Binanga village.
