Japanese stocks rose in Friday morning trading on easing worries about the eurozone debt crisis, dpa reported. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 88.24 points, or 1.05 per cent, to trade at 8,473.83 at the end of morning trading at 11:30 am (0230 GMT). The broader Topix index was up 5.21 points, or 0.72 per cent, at 732.36. Spain exceeded its targets for bond sales Thursday, easing concerns that eurozone nations would struggle to pay off their debts. It sold 10 billion euros (13 billion dollars) of bonds, exceeding its target by a factor of two. On currency markets at 11:30 am in Tokyo, the dollar traded at 76.76-78 yen, down from Thursday's 5 pm quote of 76.95-96 yen. The euro was quoted at 98.41-44 yen, up from 97.79-83 yen Thursday, and at 1.2818-20 dollars, up from 1.2708-09 dollars.
