Two Iraqi soldiers were killed Wednesday by gunmen north of the capital Baghdad, security sources said. The soldiers were killed in a village in the province of Mosul, some 400 kilometres north of Baghdad, added the sources. A third soldier was killed and three others injured when gunmen attacked a security checkpoint in the town of Samara, 120 kilometres north of Baghdad, dpa quoted police officials as saying.
