Twenty-three workers were injured in an explosion at a factory in Shanghai Saturday afternoon, according to the press office of the Shanghai municipal government. At about 3:40 p.m. Saturday, police received a fire report from a plant run by RiTeng Computer Accessory Co. Ltd in Songjiang district in Shanghai, Xinhua reported. Local police, fire fighters and medical workers rushed to the site. A total of 61 workers were sent to hospital for medical check. Twenty-three of them were hospitalized for burns. None of the injuries were life-threatening. No deaths have been reported. The Songjiang district government is investigating the cause of the accident.
