Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, President of the Human Rights Commission (HRC), said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen to support the Arab peoples, stressing that the Kingdom is continuing the march of reform and development under the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In a statement issued today on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, Al-Aiban said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is keen of the human rights and supported the efforts exerted by the governmental bodies to enhance and protect the human rights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia contributed to avoid the peoples of the region the effects due to the political events and changes, including the signing of the GCC initiative to resolve the Yemeni crisis under the auspice of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques," he added. Al-Aiban expressed the HRC's concerns on the developments in Syria. "The Kingdom is keen to support the efforts of achieving security and peace in the world, hailing of establishing King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Dialogue in Vienna," he added in the statement. Dr. Al-Aiban called upon the countries of the world to support the right of Palestinians to obtain their rights and to establish their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
