ICO Secretary General pledges to continue support for Afghanistan

Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of Jeddah-based Islamic Cooperation Organization (ICO), pledged today that his organization would continue support for the civil-war ravaged Afghanistan.
Addressing the International Conference on Afghanistan today, currently ongoing in the German former capital of Bonn, Ihsanoglu said ICO would continue supporting Afghanistan even after the withdrawal of the international forces by the end of 2014.
On the fringes of the event, the ICO held talks with a number of Islamic leaders and representatives, including the foreign ministers of Germany, United Arab Emirates and Iraq.
