The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) signed an agreement of cooperation in Jeddah, Monday to enhance “brotherly ties between Islamic countries and peoples in various fields,” according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The agreement was signed by the GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman Bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah and the OIC Secretary General Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu. The general secretariats expressed their hope that the agreement would further strengthen cooperation in the interest of Islamic nations and peoples.
