AlHijjah 25, 1432, Nov 21, 2011, SPA -- Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi met here today with Secretary General of OPEC Abdullah Bin Salem Al-Badri. The meeting addressed the importance of the stability of the international oil market, the balance between the forces of supply and demand for oil and the importance of cohesion of the organization in defending the interests of members in the OPEC meeting to be held in the month of December. The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources also met here today with Chief Executive of the International Energy Agency Van der Hoeven and talked with her about the oil market situation, cooperation between the Kingdom and the International Energy Agency, the importance of exchanging visits between officials of both sides, cooperation between the exporting countries and oil consuming countries and the kingdom's goal of stabilizing the international petroleum market. The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources also met here today with Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of China Jiang Wei Zheng and discussed with him petroleum cooperation between the Kingdom and China in the areas of joint investments and China's import of Saudi oil. The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources told Saudi Press Agency after the meeting that oil cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of China continues to grow and China is regarded as a strategic partner. In the area of ??oil, he said the Chinese imports of Saudi oil is growing and is expected to continue rising this year and in the years to come.
