AlHijjah 25, 1432, Nov 21, 2011, SPA - Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Archives and Research (Darah), chaired here yesterday a meeting of the Foundation. At the beginning of the meeting, the Board's members congratulated Prince Salman on the royal trust in his appointment as Defense Minister. The Foundation's Secretary General, Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Sammari, pointed out that the Board reviewed topics on its agenda and approved among others that the Center of Makkah History organizes every three years a conference entitled "General Conference of Makkah History ", and that Research and Studies Center of Madinah organizes every three years a conference entitled "General Conference of Madinah History". Dr. Al-Sammari noted that the Board approved the programs of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Archives and Research and its participation through Research and Studies Center of Madinah on the occasion of selecting Madinah as Islamic Cultural Capital for the year 2013.
