AlHijjah 22, 1432, Nov 18, 2011, SPA -- Ninety schools in the state of Nevada are closed as crews battle a wind-whipped wildfire in the northern city of Reno that has burned 20 homes and injured several people. Reno Fire Chief Michael Hernandez said that the 400-acre wildfire is burning in steep canyons and deep ravines, and "is not going to be out any time soon." Reno spokesman Michele Anderson said six buildings have burned and about 12 more are being protected, but more are threatened. Two high schools are being used as shelters for hundreds of families who have left their homes. Authorities said that one person suffered a cardiac arrest and several others suffered smoke inhalation.
