AlHijjah 21, 1432, Nov 17, 2011, SPA -- The Assistant Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Economic Affairs Dr. Abdullah Al-Quwaiz, who has also served as Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Bahrain, vowed today that the Gulf Cooperation Council is the sole politically-qualified to lead the Arab economic action. Addressing the fourth session of Lebanon Economic Forum which started in Beirut today, Al-Quwaiz criticized the performance of the current Arab economic institutions. Al-Quwaiz's three-point logic was based on the resources of those institutions, their failure to benefit from experiments done by the World Bank and other regional banks and the lack of taking a clear position towards the recent developments in the Arab arena, in reference to what is called the "Arab autumn".
