AlHijjah 19, 1432, Nov 15, 2011, SPA -- The Romanian economy grew in the third quarter at its fastest rate in the last three years, dpa quoted the National Statistical Institute (INS) as forecasting Tuesday. The economy grew by 1.9 per cent quarter-on-quarter and by 4.4 per cent when compared to the third quarter of 2010, INS said, quoting preliminary estimates. Romanian economists warned that the result is based on solid performance in the agricultural sector over the summer months and that the growth rate is unlikely to be maintained. The International Monetary Fund, which compiled a 20-billion-euro (27.5 billion dollars) bailout for Romania with the European Union in 2009, projected that the country's economy will grow by 1.5 per cent in 2011.
