AlHijjah 17, 1432, Nov 13, 2011, SPA -- UAE's Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi met here today with the Minister of Trade and Industry of the South Africa, Dr Rob Davies, WAM reported. Receiving Dr. Davis at the Emirates Palace, Sheikha Lubna stressed that the bilateral relations between UAE and South Africa are witnessing a strong growth and opening new horizons of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and investment. The contribution of non-oil sectors to the country's GDP reached up to 71 per cent over last year, Sheikha Lubna noted, adding that UAE, with its strong infrastructure and several other features, can become the port for the South African products to share the markets in the region.
