AlHijjah 9, 1432, Nov 5, 2011, SPA -- More than two million of pilgrims have successfully performed Hajj on the plain of Arafat Mount and settled in Muzdalifah valley tonight, the start of the countdown journey to say goodbye to Makkah after staying a three day, or less, in Mina. All pilgrims, who attended the sunset peak at Arafat, the crux of Hajj ritual, have settled in Muzdalifah valley to perform together the Maghrib (sunset) and shortened-Isha (evening) prayers, stay the night there and head for Mina after praying the Fajr (dawn) prayer as was the practice of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) when he performed Hajj more than 14 centuries ago. Tomorrow, pilgrims will observe Eid Al-Adh-ha, throw Jamrat Al-Aqaba (stone throwing at the Greater devil replica), sacrifice and take off the Ihram (special white Hajj compulsory dress) once a pilgrim performs Tawaf Al-Ifadha (circumambulation around the Kaaba, i.e. the house of God), in Makkah and returns to Mina. Reports on foodstuff, water supplies, traffic, health and security confirm that this year's Hajj was a complete success.
