AlHijjah 9, 1432, Nov 5, 2011, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud today issued the following Royal Orders: First: 1- The Chairman of the General Commission for Civil Aviation serves as Chairman of its Board. The Board shall be reshuffled accordingly. 2- The assignments and responsibilities of Civil Aviation will be transferred from the Ministry of Defense to the General Commission for Civil Aviation whereas the staff serving in this field, the properties, documents, allocations and relevant funds should also be transferred accordingly. 3- A committee comprising the Ministry of Civil Service, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defense and the General Commission for Civil Aviation will be formed to forge an executive plan to implement the aforementioned items in para (2) of this article. The report should be submitted to the monarch in no more than three months of date. Secondly: The Chairman of the General Commission for Civil Aviation serves as Chairman of the Board of the General Organization of Saudi Arabian Airlines. The Board shall be reshuffled accordingly. the General Organization of Saudi Arabian Airlines shall structurally be attached to the Premier. Thirdly: In cooperation with the concerned authorities, the Experts Commission at the Cabinet will have to revise the laws, regulations, orders and decisions which have been affected by the previous articles and to suggest what should be done in this regard and to report, in no more than three months from date, to pave the way for the completion of the necessary procedures. The concerned authorities should carry out this order with immediate effect.
