AlHijjah 4, 1432, Oct 31, 2011, SPA -- The Hajj operations Follow-up and Coordination Unit of the Secretariat of Hajj Committee in Madinah discussed procedures for transferring sick pilgrims to Makkah and the holy sites, whether by ambulance or regular cars and contacts among members of the unit. In a meeting today, the Unit also discussed other issues concerning pilgrims including organization of the movement of the convoy of ambulances and their road-routes, coordination with the Saudi Red Crescent, the use of emergency aircraft in case of emergency, and coordination with the official medical missions on sick pilgrims, cooperation and arrangements with the Department of Passports in Madinah to ensure the safety of travel procedures for the pilgrims, and cooperation with Road Security to help the convoy.
