Supreme Court Calls on Muslims to Sight Dhu Al-Hijjah Crescent

AlQa'dah 27, 1432, Oct 25, 2011, SPA - The Supreme Court has called on all Muslims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent of the Lunar Month of Dhu Al-Hijjah on Thursday evening, Dhu Al-Qa'dah 29, 1432AH corresponding to October 27, 2011.
In an announcement today, the Supreme Court requested whoever sees the crescent of Dhu Al-Hijjah either by naked eyes or telescopes to report to the nearest court and register his testimony, or report to the authority of the region's governorate if there is no judge in the area where he sighted the crescent in order to facilitate reaching the nearest court.
The Supreme Court also urges all Muslims to sight the Crescent for cooperation in righteousness and piety.
