AlQa'dah 21, 1432, Oct 19, 2011, SPA - Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja signed here today a contract to supply an external television transmission truck for the amount of SR 25 Million. He also signed another SR 20 million contract to supply 6 vehicles containing links for satellite communication. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Media Affairs and the General Supervisor of Engineering Affairs Dr. Riyad bin Kamal Najm said that the two contracts support Saudi television with the latest technical equipment to be able to keep up with the achievements and the transfer of events. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, he said that the external transport vehicle is equipped with ten cameras and can accommodate sixteen high-resolution cameras and is equipped with all necessary equipment for filming and production. He also explained that the vehicles equipped with the satellite communication are equipped with two systems for transmission and reception via satellite either directly or through multi-media exchange system and are dedicated for transmission of events from their venues directly.
