AlQa'dah 21, 1432, Oct 19, 2011, SPA - Five Afghan soldiers and three civilians were killed Wednesday in two attacks in western Afghanistan, officials said. The five soldiers died after a roadside bomb hit their vehicle in Pushtun Zarghun district, said Muhaiuddin Noori, spokesman for the governor of Herat province. A Ministry of Defence spokesman confirmed the incident and death toll, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA". In an incident in neighboring Badghis province, a suicide bombing killed three members of the same family. "A suicide bomber who came on foot blew himself up next to a convoy of the Afghan army near a health clinic in Bala Murghab district of Badghis, killing three civilians and injuring two Afghan National Army soldiers," said Dilbar Jaan Arman, the governor of Badghis province.
