AlQa'dah 19, 1432, Oct 17, 2011, SPA - Arab Foreign Ministers concluded here yesterday an extraordinary meeting focusing on the current situation in Syria. Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting. In a final statement read by Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabr Al Thani, who chaired the meeting, the Ministers decided to form Arab ministerial committee headed by Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the membership of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Algeria, Sudan, and Oman and the Secretary General of the Arab League. "The Committee's mission is to contact the Syrian leadership to stop all acts of violence, fighting, ending all military aspects, starting dialogue between the Syrian government and the opposition parties for the implementation of political reforms that meet the aspirations of the Syrian people," the statement said. --MORE
