AlQa'dah 15, 1432, Oct 13, 2011, SPA -- The Kingdom of Bahrain denounced in the strongest words the plot targeting the life of the Saudi ambassador to the United States of America Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, saying that such acts contradict all human values and ethics. In a statement carried by the Bahraini News Agency, Bahrain voiced absolute support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as it sees any attack against Saudi Arabia as if it was a direct hostility against the Kingdom of Bahrain, citing the tight relations binding the two kingdoms. Bahrain said the foiled plan is yet an evidence of no-respect of diplomatic norms which call for observing the immunity of diplomats and no interference in others affairs. For his part, the Bahraini Shura Council condemned the plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington, describing the case as a flagrant violation of all international norms and diplomatic principles. In a statement, the Shura Council expressed full support and absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which the statement described as Bahrain and other Arab and GCC countries' strategic depth and deterrent shield.
