AlQa'dah 4, 1432, Oct 2, 2011, SPA - The Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the Arab League has decided to launch the first award for excellence in local administration in the name of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Arab Local Administration. Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf Al Muqrin, Mayor of Riyadh and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Prince Sultan University, has explained that the Director General of the Arab Organization for Administrative Development Dr. Rifaat Abdul Halim Al-Faouri has proposed to Prince Sultan University to launch the Award in the name of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region, in his capacity as one of the most important administrative leaders in local government and one of the most prominent pioneers of local administration in the Arab region, in recognition of his efforts and long experiences in local administration in addition to his achievements at local and international arenas for a service of more than five decades in governmental works.
