AlQa'dah 4, 1432, Oct 2, 2011, SPA -- The 36th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Finance and Economy in member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) began today in Abu Dhabi. In an opening address, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Younis Haji Al-Khouri stressed support of the UAE for the GCC joint economic work. He said, "We look forward to further cooperation and joint work on the completion of the solution to all obstacles and issues and challenges facing the full implementation of the customs union and taking advantage of the opportunities and advantages offered by the GCC common market." He highlighted willingness of the GCC countries to achieve the aspirations of the leaders of Member States and meet the expectations of the citizens of GCC countries and said the meeting aims at strengthening economic cooperation between the member states. The GCC is comprised of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
