OIC Secretary General, UN Secretary General Hold Meeting

On the sidelines of his participation in the 66th UN General Assembly, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu held a meeting with the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) Ban Ki-moon.
The meeting discussed the bilateral cooperation between the OIC and the UN on issues relating to peace and security.
The meeting also discussed the preparations for OIC-UN bi-annual meeting in Geneva next year. The meeting also discussed the latest developments in Palestine and the Palestinian application for statehood. In addition, the meeting touched on cooperation in the post-conflict phase in Libya.
