The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, will leave here later today for New York, to take part in the 63rd Session of the UN General Assembly. The Secretary General will meet with the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon. Discussions between the two officials are expected to revolve around the prospects of cooperation in various fields between the OIC and the UN. He will also attend the Annual Coordination Meeting of OIC Foreign Ministers. Ihsanoglu's meetings agenda while in New York includes meetings with the heads of the delegations of Senegal and Uganda with the objective of studying and evaluating the outcome of the implementation of adopted resolutions since the 11th Islamic Summit held in Dakar, Senegal, and the 35th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers held in Kampala, Uganda. --MORE
