British Foreign Secretary welcomes king's decision on women's Majlis Al- Shura and municipal participation

British Foreign Secretary William Hague has welcomed the decision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Saudi women's participation in the membership of Majlis Al-Shura and granting women the right to vote and nominate as candidates in municipal elections.
In a statement today, Hague considered the decision as an important step for the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
