Saudi newspapers commented in their editorials today on the Kingdom's services to Umrah performers, International Conference on 'Takfeer' Phenomenon and other local, regional and international topics. In an editorial entitled "The Kingdom is proud of the honor of serving Umrah performers", Al-Nadwah newspaper said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed at the Cabinet's session yesterday his appreciation of bodies in-charge of services to Umrah performers and visitors for their efforts in the success of Umrah season in the blessed month of Ramadan. The paper quoted the King as saying, "Whatever has been achieved of successes by the efforts of sincere bodies in the service of Umrah performers are considered as incentives for all people to make more efforts for the next season of Hajj." For its part, Al-Madinah newspaper said in its editorial entitled "The Scourge of Takfeer'' that the International Conference on Takfeer Phenomenon, Causes, Effects, and Treatment'' starts later today in Madinah under the patronage of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, noting that the Conference comes in conjunction with the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11. The paper pointed out that the Saudi Government has been keen to clarify to the world the true image of Islam, its great principles, and its message in peace, moderation, and dialogue, especially after the events of September 11. --More
