An Angolan Air Force plane, carrying reported 36 people, crashed Wednesday in the central province of Huambo, killing at least three generals, the dpa reported. State news agency Angop quoted a military source as saying that six people survived when the Embraer plane crashed at Albano Machado Airport, southeast of the city. Portugal's Sol newspaper also reported that 30 passengers were killed. The crash took place at about 11:50 am (1050 GMT) and an investigation has been reportedly been opened into the incident. The cause of the accident has not yet been officially identified, although media reports said a wheel had broken off.
