Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of topics at local, regional and international arenas, particularly the services provided to 'Umrah' (the minor pilgrimage) performers and Saudi aid to the Palestinian people. In an editorial entitled "Best Services to Umrah Performers", Al-Nadwah said that The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud renewed his directives at the Cabinet's meeting on Monday to the relevant ministers and officials in charge of services provided to Umrah performers and visitors of the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah to exert utmost efforts to provide the best services so that the Umrah performers and visitors perform their rituals safely and comfortably. It said that the King's directives came after he was briefed on a plan for the blessed month of Ramadan which has been drawn up by government departments and all relevant parties concerned with providing services to Umrah performers and visitors of the Two Holy Mosques to perform their rituals easily and comfortably. The paper concluded that Umrah performers will benefit this year from the expansion of Al-Masa'a Track in the Grand Mosque as well as other plans to arrive at the Grand Mosque easily. --MORE
