The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has confirmed its readiness to cooperate with any credible initiative that can address the root causes of terrorism and its implications, to provide a more secure and free world from all forms of terrorism for "our future generations". In a statement issued today, the OIC said: "On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of 11/9 terrorist attacks, the OIC joins the international community in remembering the ugliness and cowardice of this terrorist act and the tragic loss of thousands of innocent human lives." The statement added: "The Organization of Islamic Cooperation avails itself of this occasion to reaffirm its firm position in condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and that terrorism is a hateful disease seeks to destroy the intrinsic value of man."
