Nepal's new prime minister has named a deputy from his own party and appointed 12 other Cabinet ministers, AP reported. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Sunday named Narayankaji Shrestha from his Maoist party as the deputy prime minister and foreign minister. The Cabinet now has seven members from the Maoist party and eight from an alliance of small parties that backed Bhattarai's election. Bhattarai took office last week but initially named only a deputy prime minister. Differences within the alliance and in his own party have delayed the government's formation. -- SPA
