Torrential monsoon rains in Sindh province in southeast Pakistan killed 66 of people and destroyed thousands of acres of crops. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority put the death toll at 66 while more than 2 million people were driven from their homes or otherwise affected by flooding. In a press statement today, the agency's director general Zafar Qader said that the floods also resulted in the deaths of 100 thousand head of cattle and the collapse and damaged of about 400 thousand house.
