Pilots of the Spanish airline Air Europa will begin an indefinite strike on September 22, dpa quoted the pilots' trade union Sepla as announcing Thursday. The strike, which is to take place on Mondays and Thursdays, will affect most of Air Europe's 280 daily flights. Air Europa employs more than 500 pilots. Sepla said the strike was to protest cooperation arrangements between Air Europa and the Portuguese airline Orbest, which "externalized" Air Europa services. "It is all part of a strategic plan to leave Air Europa without content," Sepla representative Luis Crespi said.
