Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Salih bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh has endorsed the operational plan of 33rd King Abdulaziz International Contest for the Memorization, Intonation and Interpretation of The Holy Quran, which is to be organized by the Ministry in Makkah during the period from 23rd to 30th Moharram, 1433 AH. The Contest will highlight the Kingdom's interest and care for the holy book, its intonation and interpretation as well as its keenness to encourage young Muslims to learn and memorize the holy Quran and raise the spirit of fair competition between them to preserve the book of Allah as well as highlight efforts to teach the holy Quran in Saudi Arabia. The contestants of the five-category competition will also have an associated tour program of the holy places in Makkah, the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran and the mosque of Quba and the Madinah-based Islamic University.
