More than two million worshippers from all over the Muslim world and communities attended the closing session of reciting the holy Quran and performed Isha (evening) and Taraweeh (nightly post-Isha Ramadan) prayers in the Grand Mosque in Makkah today, it was reported. Thanks to the excellent services rendered by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the follow-up of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Governor of Makkah Region, who is also Chairman of Hajj Central Committee, the Umrah performers and visitors were able to perform their rituals smoothly and comfortably. More than 7,000 female and male personnel, thousands of trolleys for the elders and sick worshippers, more than 27,000 bottles of cold Zamzam holy water, were available to provide services to worshippers who could enter and exit through all 176 gates of the holy mosque with 920 personnel working to control and help the incoming and outgoing worshippers do their rituals.
