Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s Member States, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani has praised the great efforts exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to serve the pilgrims through modern and advanced expansion projects in the holy Mosque and sacred sites. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Zayani said , "The new expansion project, which opened Friday under the auspices and honor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, marks a milestone in the record and history of the holy Mosque for it will increase the capacity of the areas surrounding the Holy Mosque, in addition to the serve of pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and comfort". "These great works and blessed initiatives to expand the holy Mosque by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques enjoy the appreciation, respect and admiration of all Muslims since they intended to serve the religion of Islam and the Islamic peoples across the world.", SPA quoted the GCC secretary general as saying.
