The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud patronized at Al-Safa Palace here on Friday evening a ceremony for laying the foundation stone for the new expansion of the Holy Mosque of Makkah and the inauguration of a number of developmental projects of The Two Holy Mosques and holy sites. The King and the audience watched a documentary film on The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud Expansion of The Holy Mosque of Makkah. The King inaugurated Al-Mashaer Train and Jamarat Bridge Projects presented to him by Prince Dr. Mansour Ibn Meteb Ibn Abdulaziz, saying, "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful and with his blessing." The King also inaugurated King Abdulaziz Endowment Project presented to him by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh Ibn Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh; laid the foundation stone for The Expansion Project of the Holy Mosque of Makkah and inaugurated Masa'a (Passage) Project presented to him by the Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf. Masa'a has been expanded to 40 meters from 20 meters and increased to four stories. The King inaugurated the Development Project of the yards of Prophet's Mosque of Madinah, the installment of 250 umbrellas, and rain-water drainage in the yards, as well as the establishment of a transportation station presented by the Minister of Finance. The King also inaugurated Makkah Al-Mukarramah Watch Project including four watches in four directions of the tower presented by the Minister of Finance. --MORE
