Saudi Ambassador to Cameroon Mahmoud Bin Hussein Qattan has delivered a gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz to the Government of the Republic of Cameroon, containing a hundred tons of dates. The consignment of dates was handed over during an official ceremony held recently at the Saudi embassy here, which was attended by officials of the two countries' foreign and finance ministries as well as media delegates. In an address on the occasion, the Saudi ambassador said the King's gift is an extension of the aid provided by Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Cameroon in various fields. He also disclosed that an additional gift of the King, comprising 96 tons of dates will also be delivered to Cameroon soon. For his part, a representative of the Government of Cameroon, Mamadou Moustapha expressed thanks and appreciation of the Government of Cameroon to the Saudi Government for this generous gift and said the people of Cameroon have become accustomed with the Kingdom's fraternal generosity, especially in the month of Ramadan. He hailed the policy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz in the field of providing humanitarian and economic assistance to the developing world, which contributes to alleviating the economic difficulties faced by these countries.
